New UAE law to allow reading time during work
A new law that gives employees the right to read during working hours has been issued.
Mr.Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday announced the newly-passed law on Twitter.
He praised the move, describing it as “an unprecedented cultural and legislative initiative”.
The legislation was issued by HH President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It will grant employees dedicated time for specialized reading during working hours.
Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet: “The law consolidates the cultural image of books among society and will oblige schools to develop an annual plan to encourage reading among students, preventing destroying any book and instead preserve, reuse or donate it. The law will encourage the private sector to invest in the establishment of libraries and cultural centers. This will be done by providing the private sector with facilities, incentives and discounts.”
Its a good step From UAE Government because education is most important in your life.
